2008 Business Advocate of the Year
Our 2008 Business Advocate of the Year is an advisor, entrepreneur, investor and historian. Since 2004, he and his business partners have grown their business from five employees to 25 employees today. Previously he served six years as the Executive Director of the Coastal Bend Community Foundation.
This individual has served on the Chamber Board of Directors, is a graduate of Leadership Corpus Christi, currently serves as President of the Friends of the Corpus Christi Museum of Science and History and has lead the Corpus Christi Symphony Society, The Bishop’s Guild of the Diocese of Corpus Christi, The South Texas Planned Giving Council and 4U-Corpus Christi –responsible for the conversion of Corpus Christi State University to TAMUCC.
His collection of 5,200 area postcards documents the visual history of our area for the entire twentieth century. Today he is working with Murphy Givins on a book on the 1919 hurricane.
