...Made an extraordinary contribution of time, ideas, leadership and/or money to the community during the preceding year;
… provided the community with a project, an event, a business initiative or some tangible action that improved the appearance, image or quality of life in the community;
… who made a contribution that complemented and/or furthered the mission of the Chamber;
… and who Positively impacted the future of Corpus Christi.
The individual we will recognize today has succeeded in fulfilling each of these qualifications as well as numerous additional contributions to our community. This year’s Henry B. Baldwin award is being presented to a leader who sees a problem and has no reservations in finding solutions to fix it. He is a past chair of the Corpus Christi Regional Economic Development Corporation, is a co-chair for BoldFuture and is launching an initiative called Charter First. He is a longtime member of this Chamber of Commerce, and has served as a past member of the 1914 Nueces County Courthouse Restoration Committee, Del Mar College Foundation, CHRISTUS Spohn Development Foundation, and is member of the Christian Business Men’s Committee, Leadership Prayer Breakfast and the Walk to Emmaus.
